Horseshoe Bay, West Vancouver
Getting to Sewell’s Marina & The Lookout Coffee Shop
Coming from Downtown Vancouver
- Head west on Georgia Street through Stanley Park Causeway and over the Lions Gate Bridge.
- At the north end of the bridge, veer left toward West Vancouver (if two lanes are open, move into the left lane before reaching the end of the bridge span).
- Follow the long curve onto Marine Drive, then turn right at Taylor Way (signs will indicate this route for both the BC Ferry Terminal in Horseshoe Bay and Whistler).
- Travel north on Taylor Way, then turn left onto Trans-Canada Highway #1 West.
- Take Exit #3 (Horseshoe Bay) — stay in the left lane for the Village and follow signs for:
- West Vancouver, Horseshoe Bay, Village
- Exit 3 Ramp
- Stay in the Village Lane
- This will bring you into Horseshoe Bay Village.
- At the water, turn left onto Bay Street.
- Look for the blue building — your next immediate right, just to the right of the big propeller water fountain, is home to Sewell’s Ocean Adventure Centre and The Lookout Coffee Shop.
Coming from North Vancouver, Burnaby, or East via Hwy #1
- Follow Trans-Canada Highway #1 Westbound through the Cassiar Connector Tunnel and over the Ironworkers Memorial (Second Narrows) Bridge.
- Continue west on Hwy #1 following signs for Horseshoe Bay (approximately 25 km).
Take Exit #3 and follow signs into Horseshoe Bay Village.
Coming from Whistler or Squamish
- Travel south on Highway 99 (Sea to Sky Highway).
- Take the ramp toward Marine Drive.
- Continue straight onto Horseshoe Bay Drive, then turn right onto Marine Drive.
- Enter the roundabout and take the first exit onto Nelson Avenue.
- Turn right on Chatham Street, then left onto Royal Avenue.
- Follow Royal Avenue to the waterfront — you’ll see the large propeller water fountain.
Just to the right is Sewell’s Ocean Adventure Centre and The Lookout Coffee Shop.
