Fishing FAQ

All of our charters are private and individually booked, designed to give you the best personalized experience. We do not combine single anglers into groups, but we do offer a 1-person rate.

Absolutely! We specialize in group charters. Please contact our office for details and availability.

Our experienced guides use downriggers to troll for Pacific salmon. Depending on the targeted species — Chinook (King), Coho (Silver), Pink, Sockeye, or Chum — your guide will choose the most effective gear and tackle. We typically troll at a speed of 2–3 knots, and your guide will set up all the gear for you.

Fishing locations vary by season and activity. Some of our most popular fishing spots include:

  • Hole in the Wall
  • Cape Roger Curtis
  • Cowans Point
  • Bell Buoy
  • Hutt Island
  • Tunstall Bay

Fishing licenses are now available online through DFO (Department of Fisheries and Oceans Canada). We recommend purchasing your license online before your trip. However, if needed, we can provide a license for you at the marina.

Our boats can accommodate between 1 to 6 guests, depending on the vessel.

Standard charters are 5 hours long. Want more time on the water? Extended trips are available for an additional fee. Extending the trip is great when the best fishing is further afield. The guides will always let you know if they think extra hours are needed.
